David Chernushenko

Biography
David Chernushenko is an explorer and communicator of ways to create healthy, abundant livelihoods. He helps people and organizations to prosper by tapping their personal values, creativity and enthusiasm and directing them toward action that is both practical and fulfilling. He works to promote the idea of living lightly on the Earth.

David holds a B.A. in Political Studies from Queen's University and a Master's in International Relations from the University of Cambridge.

He has written three books on sustainable management practices and delivered hundreds of speeches and workshops in more than 20 countries.

David co-founded Clean Air Champions, a national charity that involves athletes in raising awareness about air pollution, climate change and the benefits of physical activity. From 1998 to 2004, he served on the International Olympic Committee’s commission on Sport and the Environment

He is a member of Canada’s National Roundtable on the Environment and the Economy, and he is a “green building” professional accredited by the LEED building certification program.

David is currently producing the Living Lightly Project, a film, stage show and online community. Its goal is to share the stories, solutions and passion of a growing movement of people working to build a rich future for all on a healthy planet.
