Clive Doucet

Biography
Mr. Clive Doucet is currently serving as a city Councillor for his home Capital Ward in Ottawa, Canada, a position which he has held since 1997. Mr. Doucet is also poet and author having published over a dozen books, including his latest publication: “Urban Meltdown: Cities, Climate Change and Politics as Usual.” He began his career at the Federal Ministry of Urban Affairs (MSUA) where he was one of the authors of The Federal Urban Domain, a multi-volume evaluation of the federal government’s urban properties. Subsequently, he worked as policy advisor in the Ontario Municipal Affairs Ministry’s local government reform section. At the federal level, he has held a variety of communications and policy positions.

He has a Bachelor of Arts with honours degree in Urban Anthropology from the University of Toronto, and a Masters degree (MSc) from the Université de Montréal. He is married with two children.
